Danville; Betty Josephine (Camp) Doney, 86, of Danville, passed away at 1:15 pm on Friday, October 19, 2012 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. She was born September 22, 1926 in Westville, Illinois, the daughter of Ellis and Mabel Brooks Camp. She married William Wesley Doney on March 9, 1947 in Catlin. He preceded her in death on June 13, 2005. Survivors include four children: Nancy (David) Werner of Mena, Arkansas, Bill (Dede) Doney of Oakwood, Elizabeth Jane Sprague of Williamsport, Indiana, and Jennifer Hazelbaker of Perrysville, Indiana; one brother, Ronald (Virginia) Camp of Collison; two sisters, Helen Ridlen of Champaign and Kate (Ray) Prather of Catlin; Sister-in-law, Marge Camp of Armstrong; 13 grandchildren; Jamshaid Naqvi, Thomas Durbin, Melissa (Shane) Meade, Marcelle (Richard) England, Rebecca (Ramey) Durbin, Billie (Curtis) Hayes, Chad Sprague, Matthew (Ami) Sprague, Jeremiah Sprague, Katie (Trenton) Seaman, Jessica (Josh) Moore, Emily Hazelbaker, Jenna Hazelbaker, and 18 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 1 sister, Alma June Camp, 1 brother, John Camp, 1 daughter, Marilyn Durbin, 1 granddaughter, Michele Doney, 1 great-granddaughter, McKenzie Meade, and one son-in-law, Steven Sprague. Betty graduated from Westville High School and Browns Business College, and attended the University of Illinois. She previously worked at The Fashion clothing store in downtown Danville and the Oakwood post office. She was a member of the Newtown Hebron United Methodist Church. A celebration of the life of Betty Doney will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the Newtown Hebron United Methodist Church. Officiating services will be Dennis Divan and Dr.Judith Ridlen. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Oakwood. Visitation of family and friends will be held from 4-8 pm on Monday, October 22, at Sunset's Oakwood Chapel, 105 E South Main St. in Oakwood.
