Betty C. Miller

Tilton- Betty C. Miller, 78, of Tilton passed away at 3:08 PM on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. She was born on June 28, 1933 in Lilbourn, MO to Jay W. and Dora Lola Austin Barrett and also raised by a special step-father, Reeve Thomas. She married Claude E. Miller on June 28, 1949 in Danville. He preceded her in death on February 6, 1993. She is survived by a daughter, Penny Sue (Daniel) Miller of Tilton; two sons Randy R. (Betty) Miller of Danville and Darrell W. Miller of Arcola; three sisters, Novella, Beulah, and Mary; nine grandkids and eight great-grandkids; and a special friend John Butkus. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, three sons, Danny E. Miller, Michael Lee Miller, and Jeffery S. Miller, and a sister Ethel. Betty enjoyed BINGO, playing cards and games with her family, and taking rides through the park to look at deer. A service to celebrate the life of Betty Miller will be held at 10 AM on Friday, September 30, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Pastor Raymie Gordon will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Thursday, September 29, also at Sunset in Danville.
