Danville - Betty B. Evans, 90, of Danville, IL passed away at 1:20 am Wednesday November 1, 2017 at Hawthorne Inn in Danville, IL. Betty was born on September 26, 1927 in Tab, IN the daughter of Loren and Blythe (Wilson) Shuck. She married Glen E. Evans on July 30, 1950 in Danville, IL and he preceded her in death on November 24, 1996. Survivors include her children Karen (Lynn) Reed of Sullivan, IL and Stanley (Patty) Evans of Danville, IL, four grandchildren, Scott (Juliana) Reed of Danville, IL, Angela Reed of Sullivan, IL, Natalie (Darren) Duncan and Arron (Tiffany) Evans both of Rossville, nine great grandchildren; Jarrett Reed, Emily Duncan, Allison Duncan, Laura Duncan, Adam Duncan, Mackenzie Ford, Brendan Ford, Evie Evans and Emma Evans. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Glen, brothers, Loren Shuck and Gayle Shuck and sister, Myrna Nelson. Betty had worked as a CNA in various nursing homes in the Danville area for many years. She was a member of the Danville First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing BINGO with her friends while living at Liberty Village in Danville, playing trivia games and going to plays with her sister, Myrna. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion Street Danville, IL. Pastor Matt Filicsky will officiate. Visitation will be held Saturday, November, 4, 2014 from 9:30 -10:30 at the funeral home. Burial will be Sunset Memorial Park.
