Betty B. Barnes

GEORGETOWN- Betty B. (Morgan) Barnes, 82, of Georgetown left this world to be with her Lord at 10:00 am on Sunday, November 28th, 2004, at her daughters residence. She was born on August 16th, 1922, in Newport, IN, the daughter of the late Claude and Sally (Brazeal) Morgan. Betty was united in marriage to Robert W. Barnes in Perrysville, IN, on March 1st, 1942. He preceded her in death on June 23rd, 2000. Those who will deeply miss her include: her two daughters, Bobbee (John) Nimrick of Georgetown and Bunny Flanders of Georgetown; her sister, Donna (Frank) Wilhite of Montezuma, IN; her sister-in-law, Bell Morgan of Georgetown; her three grandchildren, John (Jan) Nimrick Jr. of Ridge farm, Robert (Teresa) Nimrick of Largo, FL, and Polly (Jim) Steele of Westville; her five great-grandchildren, Curtis DJ Nimrick of Georgetown, Jeremy Nimrick of Largo, FL, Cassie Bernardi, Daniel "DJ" Bernardi and Michael Bernardi all of Westville; and her three close friends, Margaret Maskel of Georgetown, Shirley Peterson of Cayuga, IN, and Demitrula Hires of Georgetown. Her parents, her husband, her brother-SV Morgan, and one great grandchild-Brandon Bernardi, preceded her in death. Betty worked at TeePak in Danville as a shirring operator for 27 years before retiring in 1985. She enjoyed her job and missed her fellow employees. She was also a member of the First Church of Christ in Georgetown since December 9th, 1956. She enjoyed ceramics, sewing, scrap booking, and reading the Bible. She cherished her time spent with her family especially when playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as Grandma Betty'.
