Cayuga, Ind. -- Betty Ann Shotwell, 73, of Cayuga, Indiana, passed away at 10:30 p.m. CST Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. She was born November 10, 1934 in Cayuga, Indiana, the daughter of the late Robert and Cassie Trosper Conrad. She first married William "Bill" Wilson. She later married Robert W. Shotwell on June 26, 1982 in Danville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on January 7, 1996. Survivors include: one daughter, Debora Wilson of Chicago, Illinois; four sons, Steven(Randa)Wilson of South Elgin, Illinois; Robert(Delores)Wilson of Florence, Arizona; Donald(Angela)Wilson of Indiana and Gary(Cindy)Wilson, Sr. of Fulton, New York; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild and one sister, Carolyn Estock of Cayuga, Indiana. Betty was preceded in death by one son, James Wilson; one grandson, Gary Wilson, Jr.; six brothers and three sisters. Betty formerly worked at Motorola in Schaumburg, Illinois for ten years. She was a member of the Cayuga American Legion Auxiliary Rainbow Post #263, Covington V.F.W. #2395 and the Salvation Army Silver Star Mothers. She was a former member of the Moose Lodge and O.E.S. Betty was an avid bingo player. She enjoyed gardening and raising flowers. Funeral services: 6 p.m. EST Sunday, March 2, 2008 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana with memorial services by the Cayuga American Legion Auxiliary; Officiating: Salvation Army Major's Larry and Margo Thorson; Visitation: 3 to 6 p.m. EST Sunday, March 2, 2008 at the funeral home. Cremation to follow after services. Burial of cremains to be held at a later date at Thomas Cemetery in Newport, Indiana.
