Betty Ann Myrick

Oakwood - Betty Ann Myrick, 80, of Oakwood, passed away on Tuesday February 16, 2016 at Carle Hospital in Urbana, IL. She was born April 2, 1935 in Gray Siding, IL, the daughter of George & Lola (Miller) Unverferth. Betty married Billy Myrick on December 17, 1955 in Fairmount. Betty is survived by her son Brad (Jean) Myrick; daughters Brenda Dowers & Beth Crawley; grandchildren Jessica Young, Jared (Tiffany) Myrick, Breanna Myrick, Bradley Myrick, Bridget Myrick, Ryan Strange, & Kyle (Jenny) Strange; 8 great-grandchildren; & sisters Mary, Verna, Thelma, & Joyce. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sons, 2 twin great-grandsons, and 2 brothers. Betty was a member of Sterling Christian Church in Veedersburg and attended church at Evangelical Methodist in Oakwood. God was very important in her life. She loved to spoil her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed walking the trails at Kickapoo Park. Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center on Monday February 22, 2016 from 1-3pm with service to follow at 3pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made in Betty's name to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
