Betty A. Biggs

Betty A. Biggs, 93, of Georgetown, passed away at 6:20am, December 1, 2021, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home, Danville. She was born on January 30, 1928, in Independence, Ohio, the daughter of Rollie W. and Lena L. {Clingan} Howe. On August 10, 1946, she was united in marriage to Gordon Beanie Biggs, until his passing in 2017. Betty will be dearly missed by her daughters, Brenda (Bob) Hueston & Susan (Lee) Reinier, both of Georgetown; her grandchildren, Amber (Dave) Colt, David (Ann) Keith, Brian Hueston, Carrie (JJ) Jett, Brody Potter, Kacy (Dave) Harris, Susy Jensen, Cindy Smith, Julie Lynch, & James Reinier; her 35 great grandchildren; her 6 great-great grandchildren; and her niece, Debbie Dowers. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Beanie, sister & brother-in-law, Charlene (Gene) Sawyer, grandson, Travis Potter, great grandson, Kai Harris, and her nephew, Kevin Sawyer. Betty was a member of the Georgetown Friends Church and TOPS Club. She loved cooking and was known to enjoy the sweets. She was a loving wife, mother, & grandmother who cherished her family and spending as much time with them as she could. Her loving presence in their lives will be missed and her legacy never forgotten. A celebration of Bettys life will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, Illinois 200 E. West St. Georgetown, Illinois 61846 with Pastor Jim Hollingsworth officiating. Visitation will be held 9:00am to 11:00am on Tuesday prior to her service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given in her name to Diabetes Association or Trisomy 18 Foundation.
