Bette J. Elliott, 78, of Danville, passed away on April 14, 2016 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. She was born on May 15, 1937 in Cayuga, IN, the daughter of Willard and Esther (Smith) Anglemyer. She married Donald Elliott on June 12, 1955 in Danville and he preceded her in death in 2010. Bette will be deeply missed by her children; Randy (Linda) Elliott of Danville, Karen Elliott of Kewanee, Donna Brown of Danville, Carl Elliott of Danville, Donald Elliott Jr. of Danville and Todd Elliott of Danville, one brother, Dean Anglemyer of Lodi, 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Bette's two sons Carl and Donnie for taking care of her for the last five years and especially thank her special friend, Karen Loewenstein. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers; Robert and Marvin Anglemyer. Bette worked as a manager of the laundry department at Danville Care for many years and was a member of Danville Alliance Church where she had a strong relationship with God. She loved to do word search, sing, dance and play with her two cats, "Fluffy" and "Apollo". Bette was a loving person who enjoyed spending time with all of her family. A celebration of Bette's life will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Pastor Ken Cameron officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1:00-3:00 PM prior to the service. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials can be made in her name to the Danville Humane Society.
