Bertha Skinner

Bertha Skinner, 81, of Westville, passed away at 1:12pm, Saturday, February 12, 2022, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Danville. She was born on December 16, 1940, in Westville the daughter of Anton and Susie {Woyzaitis} Ringis. She was married to Phil Skinner for 60 years; he survives. She is also survived by her children, Jim (Laurie) Skinner, Phillip (Jamie) Skinner, Tony (Andrea) Skinner, Julie (Fianc, Clayton) Skinner, & April (Eric) Munck; her grandchildren, Lauren (fianc, Justin) Skinner, James Skinner, Macy Skinner, Camilla Allan-Skinner, Hunter (Haley) Allan, Soleil (McKenzie) Hames, Julian De La Torre, Emma Skinner, Bryson Myers, Aidan Skinner, Savanna Skinner, Jolee Allison, Andres De La Torre, Bentley Grider, Weston Skinner, Kolton Munck, & Raelyn Skinner; her great grandchildren, Ava Skinner & Remi Vilo; her brother Jerome (Leona) Ringis; her sister, Victoria Giuliani; her numerous nieces and nephews, especially her niece, Kerri Bartlow. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Walter, Anthony, & John Ringis; her sisters, Julie, Vera, Anne & Pearl Ringis; and her grandson, Michael Skinner. Bertha was proud of her Lithuanian heritage. She was self-employed delivering newspapers for 25 plus years. She was a loving mother who enjoyed making a home for her family. She enjoyed going fishing and traveling. Bertha loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and will be missed by those who loved her. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00pm, Friday, February 18, 2022, at Lithuanian National Cemetery, Westville, with Father Timothy Saupp. As per her wishes, she was accorded cremation rites. Her family was assisted by Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Westville, Illinois 414 S State St. Westville, Illinois 61883.
