Bertha Marie Thompson

Dickson, Tennessee - Bertha Marie Thompson, 69, of Dickson and formerly of Vermillion County, Indiana area, passed away at 11:35 p.m. CST Saturday, March 7, 2020 at her residence.

She was born August 10, 1950 in Clinton, Indiana the daughter of the late Willard and Hazel Marie (Bailey) Mullins.

Survivors include two daughters: Tracy (Keith) Mitchell and Kathleen (Douglas) Doss both of Dickson, Tennessee; son: James (Lesa) Sheldon of Dickson, Tennessee; five grandchildren: Christopher (Kiara) Sheldon; Jessica (Jason Leber) Sheldon; Jakeb Mitchell; Jereme Mitchell and Owen Doss; three great grandchildren: Aura Sheldon; Ruby Sheldon and Gabrielle Leber, and three sisters: Naomi Mullins of Montezuma, Indiana; Linda (Larry) Farnum of Gilbertsville, Kentucky and Zelma (Mike) Medley of Kissimmee, Florida.

Bertha was preceded in death by her grandson: Jonathan Mitchell and sister: Loretta Watts.

Bertha enjoyed crafting, bird watching and working on puzzles.

Graveside services and burial: 2 p.m. EDT Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Thomas Cemetery, Newport, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor Keith McIntyre. There will be no visitation. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is assisting the family with arrangements.
