Bertha L. Moore

Newport, Ind. -- Bertha L. Moore, 79, of Newport, Indiana and a resident of The Waters of Covington since November 2008, passed away at 5:55 p.m. EDT Monday, May 4, 2009 at The Waters of Covington in Covington, Indiana. She was born January 1, 1930 in Eugene, Indiana, the daughter of the late George W. and Luella Cox Freed. She married Farmer Moore, Jr. on April 18, 1946 in Newport, Indiana. He survives. Other survivors include: one son, Jerry Lee Moore of Danville, Illinois and two grandchildren. Bertha was a member of the United Methodist Church. A private family graveside service was held at Thomas Cemetery in Newport, Indiana. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana in charge of arrangements.
