Bernice 'Bobbie' Davis

Ft Myers, FL - Bernice “Bobbie” Davis, formerly of Danville, passed away at 1:40 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, FL. Bobbie was born in Rossville on Nov 27, 1919, the daughter of Elmer and Ferne Potts. She married Robert M. Davis, in 1943 who preceded her in death on November 1, 2010. Surviving is a son John R. Davis and daughter-in-law, Chris of Ft Myers, FL; a sister, Louise Howell of Deland, FL; Nieces Bonnie Bowles of Danville, Il, Barbara Glover of Williamsport, IN and Teresa (Tim) Vipond and their son, Andrew (Elizabeth) Vipond of Florida; and her cousin, George Walker of Texas. In addition to her husband, Bobbie was preceded in death by a sister, Rae Bowles. Bobbie enjoyed playing golf at Turtle Run in Danville, and worked with her husband at the Davis Grocery in Collison before they retired and moved to Danville. Due to a family illness, a memorial for Bernice “Bobbie” Davis will be held late in May or first of June. Entombment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.
