Bernice Adaline Techtow

Bernice Adaline Techtow, 97, of Danville, passed away at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 30,2007 at North Logan Healthcare. Bernice was born September 2, 1909 in Danville the daughter of Paul O. and Kate Schmmel Techtow. She was confirmed into the Lutheran faith on June 22, 1924 and was a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Eunice Society. Member of the Lutheran Womens Missionary League and the Wather League. Bernice enjoyed her family and friends. Holidays were always her favorite time. At Christmas she would put together a village with old time decorations on cotton snow. All the kids loved it. She will be missed by all who knew her. Surviving is her brother Ervin ( Marge) Techtow of Culver City,Ca.; nephews Dave (Carrie) techtoe of Danville and Ken (Marilyn) Techtow of Culver City, Ca. and niece Shirley (Don) Strader of Jacksonville,Il. Also many grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews . She was preceded by her parents , brother Wilbur Curly Techtow and nephews Dan, Paul, and Jimmy Techtow.A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 4,2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 824 E. Main Street. Officiating Pastor Kent Tibben. Interment Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation Thursday, May 3, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation and also Friday one hour prior to services at the church.
