Berdena A. Hance

Berdena A. Hance, 91, of Covington, IN passed away on November 25, 2007 at The Waters of Covington. Berdena was born February 10, 1916 in Mattoon daughter of Howard Campbell Clark Sr. and Letta May Benson. She married Minister Dean M. Hance on July 3, 1935. He preceded her after 21 years of marriage. Survivors include two sons: David (Lavona) Hance of Tilton, IL and Mark (Donna) Hance of Grayslake, IL, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and twelve great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and Brother Howard Clark of Springfield. Berdena worked for GE for 25 years until retiring. She was a member of 2nd Church of Christ and a Charter member of Northland Christian Church. She was a Sunday school teacher for several years. She enjoyed walking, reading, playing the organ and piano, and volunteering at Liberty Grade School as well as many other organizations. A Celebration of Berdenas Life will be held at 11:00 am EST Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Sunsets Covington Chapel 420 3rd Street Covington, IN with Pastor Doug Hargrave officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at West Liberty Cemetery in Kingman, IN. Memorials may be made to Crossroads Christian Church.
