Benjamin Dallas Dowers

Cayuga, Ind. - Benjamin Dallas Dowers, 55, of Cayuga passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at his residence.

He was born March 26, 1964 in Danville, Illinois the son of the late Floyd Albert and Priscilla Dean (Mack) Dowers.

Benjamin married Debbie L. Hart on May 22, 2007 in Crawfordsville, Indiana. She survives.

Other survivors include his children: Liza Nicole Hinkle and Brandon Scott (Carley) Hinkle both of Georgetown, Illinois; Benjamin Korzen of Tinley Park, Illinois and Kia Dowers of Clinton, Indiana; step-children: Howard Eugene (Suzie) O'Hair and Eugenia O'Hair both of Crawfordsville, Indiana; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters: Teresa (Jesse) Carrillo of Crawfordsville, Indiana and Susan (Raymond) Roehler of Romney, Indiana; brother: Mark (Brenda) Dowers of Jonesboro, Tennessee; Aunt: Catherina Dowers of Ridge Farm, Illinois; Uncle: Harold Holycross of Eugene, Indiana, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Benjamin was a retired auto mechanic. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the New Hope Christian Church in Crawfordsville, Indiana. A 1982 graduate of North Vermillion High School, Benjamin enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on his cars.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 1 p.m. EDT at the Cayuga Park. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Thomas Cemetery in Newport, Indiana. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is assisting the family with arrangements.
