Beatrice "Bea" A. Bone, 86, of Danville, passed away at 12:58pm on Sunday February 26, 2012 at Provena USMC in Danville. She was born on August 25, 1925 in Swifton, Arkansas, the daughter of Clyde and Myrtle (Drennan) Baker. Both are deceased. On January 22, 1944, Bea married William "Bill" Bone in Arkansas. Survivors include her husband, Bill, which they were able to enjoy 67 years of marriage together. During their marriage, they were blessed with three children; Ann (Kenny) Dicken of Bismarck, IL, Clyde (Gail) Bone of Sedalia, Missouri, and Phil (Kathy) Bone of Williamsport, Indiana. Her seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and her five sisters; Jean Dann of Bloomington, IL, Carrol Griffin of Carlock, IL, Mickey (Dave) Simmons of Clinton, IL, LaVerne Betcher also of Clinton, IL, and Margaret Zar of Monroe, Louisiana also survive her. In addition to her parents, her son; James M. Bone, one brother; Gerald Baker, and two sisters; Edda Faye Ivy, and Pat Shaffer preceded Bea in death. Bea worked at the former St. Elizabeth Hospital in the Dietary Department for 20 years. She enjoyed going to flea markets, craft shows, and she also enjoyed traveling to the Ozarks with her husband Bill, gardening, flowers, and cherished her time with her family. A Celebration of Beatrice Bone's Life is scheduled for 1:00pm on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the Bethel Baptist Church located at 2533 Perrysville Road in Danville with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pastor Mark Carpenter has been asked to officiate the service. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until time of service on Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that any memorials be made in Bea's name to the American Diabetes Association.
