Cayuga, Ind. -- Barry Len Kennedy, 63, of Cayuga, Indiana, passed away at 5:48 a.m. EDT Friday, October 2, 2009 at his residence. He was born March 24, 1946 in Danville, Illinois, the son of the late Francis Worden and Beverly June Doggett Kennedy. He married Dora Jane Morgan on July 3, 1965 in Danville, Illinois. Survivors include his wife Dora; four daughters, Kelly(Randall)Boyll of Farmersburg, Indiana; Melissa(James)Atterbury of Freedom, Indiana; Lora(Jeff)Drummond of Covington, Indiana and Elizabeth(James)Hall of South Whitley, Indiana; sixteen grandchildren; one sister, Crystal(Danny)Adams of Danville,Illinois and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Barry retired from ThyssenKrupp Machining in Danville, Illinois in 1999. He also worked at ThyssenKrupp Gerlach Forge as a general supervisor for 20 years. He also worked in the maintenance department at General Electric. He was a member of the Cayuga Christian Church. Barry was a 1964 graduate of Bismarck High School and received a Bachelors of Science Degree from Eastern Illinois University. He enjoyed his grandkids, family, golfing, fishing, woodworking, watching Chicago Cubs baseball, visiting with his friends and attending church. For 30 years, he enjoyed putting on a big fireworks show at his house for family and friends. Funeral services: 2 P.M. EDT Monday, October 5, 2009 at the Cayuga Christian Church, 406 South Logan Street; Officiating: Rev. Andy Spencer; Burial: Eugene Cemetery in Eugene, Indiana; Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. EDT Sunday, October 4, 2009 at the Cayuga Christian Church and one hour prior to services on Monday. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana in charge of arrangements.
