Barbara Zumwalt

Barbara Jean Zumwalt, 82, of Urbana, IL, passed away at 1:50 AM on December 28, 2015 at Champaign-Urbana Nursing and Rehab in Savoy, IL. She was born on October 24, 1933 in Danville, IL, the daughter of Curtis and Bessie (Marrow) Robinson. Surviving her are two sons, Jeff (Tasha Dunaway) Zumwalt and Bill (Beverly) Forbes; two daughters, Victoria Forbes and Jannice Hammonds; 4 sisters, Alta Powell, Betty (Don) Duffy, Shirley Reffett, and Ann Link; a special sister-in-law, Barbara Robinson; and several grand, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James Hobbs and Richard Robinson; three sisters, Hazel Proctor, Dorothy Edinger, and Lucille Hobbs; and grandson Scott Forbes. She went to Oakwood schools and worked for many years at K-Mart retiring in 1998. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, Facebook, racing, and spending time with family and grandchildren. Barbara was also an avid Mark Martin, St. Louis Cardinal, and Illini Fan. Her favorite country music was by Conway Twitty and George Strait. A Celebration of Barbara's Life will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville, IL. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services from 9:00-10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Bethel Cemetery.
