Barbara Oliphant

Barbara A. Tinder Murray Oliphant, 79, of Ridge Farm, passed away at 6:15am, Sunday, February 8, 2015, at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living, Chrisman. She was born December 20, 1935, to Robert and Rachel Rovene McMasters Tinder. She was married Paul K. Murray Jr in November of 1956 until his passing in February 1982. In September 1986, she was married to Thomas J. Oliphant, until his passing in October of 1987. Survivors include: her daughter, Terri Lynn (Kevin) Felix Ridge Farm; her two grandsons, Shawn (Stacey Stephens) Felix of Hillsboro, IN, & Ryan (Clarissa Hall) Felix of Ridge Farm; five great grandchildren, Deacon, Mollie, Caleb, Gemma, & Cassidy; her sister, Shirley (Fred) Wilburn of Danville; & several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rosemary, & her brothers, Bill & Leroy. Barbara had worked for Estad Manufacturing. She was known as a huge fan of the Chicago Cubs. She enjoyed going to rummage sales. She cherished spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of Barbaras life will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, Westville. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery, Ridge Farm.
