Barbara 'Nana' Gibson

Barbara Elaine Gibson, 67, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at OSF Sacred Heart of Medical Center in Danville. She was born on March 20, 1955 the daughter of Elizabeth and John Weiss in Pittsburgh, PA. They precede her in death.

Barbara leaves behind her husband of 50 years, Randy Gibson; son, Randy Gibson Jr.; three grandchildren, Emily, Braden, and Elaine; siblings, Mary Whitworth, Judy Vogel, Janet Weiss, Paula Weiss, John Weiss Jr., Mike Weiss, Jenny Jones, and Elisa Hodges.

Barbara attended New Life Church of Faith. She was a great businessperson and an all-around people person. She loved cooking and feeding everyone around her. Barbara had a heart of gold. She loved her family, especially all the kids. Family was most important to her. She was beautiful and was the best mom and wife anyone could ask for.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Officiating will be Pastor Thomas Miller. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
