Barbara Jones Reasor

Barbara Jones Reasor, 43, of Danville passed this life Sunday May 1, 2016 at 5:47pm at Franciscan St. James Health in Olympia Fields, IL. She was born April 14, 1973 to Ed & Ruby (Carter) Jones in Los Angeles, CA. Barbara married Steven Reasor on April 24, 2004 in Danville. Barbara is survived by her husband; brother Michael (Carrie) Jones of Las Vegas, NV; sister Etta (Hampton) Finney of CA; many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews; parents-in-law LeRoy & Sylva Reasor; brothers-in-law Jeff (Chantel) Reasor of Mesquite, TX & Christopher (Becky) Reasor of Centralia, IL; and Princess, her pet chihuahua. She is preceded in death by her parents, aunts, and uncles. Barbara moved to Bryan, TX at age 11 with her mother after her father passed away. After graduating high school she earned her bachelor's degree in teaching from Blinn College. She worked with special needs children and considered it to be a great blessing. In 2002, Barbara met her future husband, Steven, and moved to Danville to be with him. There she taught preschool and served as home teacher for Community Action. A celebration of Barbara's life will be held at 2pm on Friday May 13, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Thursday May 12, 2016 at the funeral home. Entombment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made in Barbara's name to the American Breast Cancer Foundation.
