Barbara Jean Turner Westerfield

Mrs. Barbara Jean Turner Westerfield, age70, died at Provena United Samaritans in Danville, IL, on Thursday, June2, 2011,after an 8 year struggle with Parkinson disease . Barbara Turner was born Greenville, Mississippi September 25, 1940 to Mary Ethel & Emmett Turner, who both proceeded her in death. Barbara confessed her love for God at an early age, and was an active member of Rock of Ages M.B. church, in Maywood, IL until her health began to fail.Barbara was married to Paul Westerfield and they had 3 beautiful children. Barbara graduated from Lincoln Sr. High School East St. Louis at the top of her class.She went on to College and received a degree in Criminal Psychology from S.I.U in Edwardsville, IL. She worked forCook County Criminal Psychology department for over 15 years until she retired. Barbara was survived by 3 children, Paula Pittman,Vincent Westerfield and Eva Williams.11grandchildren Joi(Howard Birch),April,Jasmine(Willie Clay)& Toi Lewis,Andria Walker,Major JonesII, Holli(Eurekia Glover), Jasen Williams Katlen, Barbara(B.B) and Adam.15 great-grandchildrenfrom ages 16 -8weeks. 2son -in " lawsJoel Ward,Robert Williams.
