Barbara Jean Moody

Barbara Jean Moody, 73, of Danville, passed away at 11:43a.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at Provena USMC Logan Campus in Danville. She was born July 15, 1930 in Danville, the daughter of Walter C. and Erma (Piehl) Meeks. She married Alfred John "Bud" Moody on September 12, 1953 in Danville. She is survived by: 1 Son: David (Tina) Moody of West Lebanon; 3 Grandchildren: Derrick Moody, Jeremy (Jenny) Moody and Angela Moody; 3 Great-Grandsons: Dylan, London and David; 4 Special Friends: Mary Lou (Ralph) Cravens of Danville, Ruth Spadotto of Ocala, FL, Barb Lenhart of Georgetown and Elaine Piehl of Schaumburg, IL. She was preceded in death by: her Parents; Husband: Alfred John "Bud" Moody on November 24, 1988, and 1 Son: Michael W. Moody. Barbara worked as a Hostess at Colonial Parkway Restaurant for 5 years. She was a lifetime member of the Danville United Church of Christ, and was the President for many years of the Women's Fellowship of Danville United Church of Christ. She loved crafts, cooking and spending time with her family.
