Barbara Jean Langley

Perrysville, Ind. -- Barbara Jean Langley, 79, of Perrysville, passed away at 11:25 a.m. EDT Saturday, March 20, 2010 at The Waters of Covington in Covington, Indiana. She was born March 20, 1931 in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of the late Clarence and Edna Stacey Kilby. She married Leland J. "Pete" Langley on September 24, 1949 in Danville, Illinois. He survives. Other survivors include two sons, Gary(Lynn)Langley of Covington, Indiana and Lary(Marsha)Langley of Perrysville, Indiana; three grandchildren, Sharon Langley of Terre Haute, Indiana; Kerri and Lance Langley of Perrysville, Indiana; one sister, Dorothy(Don)Bennett, Sr. of Tilton, Illinois. She was preceded in death by one brother. Barbara was a member of the Union Corner United Methodist Church in Danville, Illinois; Daughters of the Nile and the Perrysville Chapter #302 O.E.S., formerly serving as the Worthy Matron and District 8 Deputy. Barbara loved to cook and bake. She enjoyed raising flowers and spending time with her grandchildren. Funeral services: 10 a.m. EDT Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor Patti Wise; Burial: Atherton Cemetery in Danville, Illinois; Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. EDT Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at the funeral home with O.E.S. memorial service at 8 p.m. EDT.
