Barbara Jean Kroll

Danville - Barbara Jean Kroll, 84, of Danville passed away at 3:10 pm on December 22, 2017 at Colonial Manor in Danville, IL Barbara was born on June 12, 1933 the daughter of Edward R and Olga M (Sadewasser) Timm in Danville, IL. She married David Kroll on May 25, 1956 in Danville, IL and he preceded her in death on August 19, 1989. Survivors include her son, Michael (Chris) Kroll of Somonauk, IL, her daughter, Susan (Rich) Batten of Noblesville, IN, her sister Marian (Bill) Seidler of Danville, IL, grandchildren, Kara (Nathan) Anderson, Kevin Kroll, Nathan (Laura) Salts, Graham (Chelsea) Salts, and great grandchildren, Olivia Jane Anderson, Jude Salts, Ronin Salts and Lilly Salts. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, husband, David, brother Wayne and sister-in-law Irene Timm. Barbara was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danville. She attended Cannon Grade School, graduated from Danville High School and St Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing. Barbara was an Registered Nurse and worked at St Elizabeth Hospital in the Surgery Department and was Head Nurse in the Emergency Room before going to work at the Danville Polyclinic. Barbara enjoyed traveling across the US and abroad and especially enjoyed taking her grandchildren on her travels with her. She also enjoyed crafts, working at the Church where she sat on many committees, and being with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Immanuel Lutheran Church 1930 N Bowman Ave, Danville, IL. Pastor Michael Heidle will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N Vermilion Street, Danville, IL. Burial will be at the Lutheran Cemetery in Danville. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
