Barbara J. Tryon

Cayuga, Ind. - Barbara J. Tryon, 87, of Cayuga, passed away at 6:06 p.m. EDT Friday, August 27, 2021 at Vermillion Convalescent Center in Clinton, Indiana.

She was born April 21, 1934 in Tangier, Indiana the daughter of the late Ralph J. and Callie Mae (Jackson) Swaim, Sr..

Barbara married George 'Bill' Tryon on June 12, 1955 in Cayuga, Indiana. He preceded her in death on July 17, 2016.

Survivors include her daughter: Linda (Larry) Dalsasso of Clinton, Indiana; son: Bill J. (Lorrie Harper) Tryon of Hillsdale, Indiana; five grandchildren: Jeremy (Heather) Tryon; Tabatha (Shane) Laws; Malia (Joe Throckmorton) Martin; Chelsea (Matt McCarty) Martin and Tommy (Amy Hunt) Martin; six great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter, and three sisters: Mona Thompson of Kingman, Indiana; Ardella Foster of Cayuga, Indiana and Evelyn Randolph of Kingman, Indiana.

Barbara was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.

Barbara was a homemaker. She was a 1952 graduate of Tangier High School. She enjoyed working in her yard, painting, playing UNO and Aggravation, watching Jeopardy, spending time with her close friends and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren compete in sports.

Funeral services: 11 a.m. EDT Thursday, September 2, 2021 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Burial: Eugene Cemetery in Eugene, Indiana; Visitation: Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 4 to 8 p.m. EDT at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
