Barbara Helen Brennan

Danville - Barbara Helen Brennan, 67, of Naples, FL, formerly of Danville, IL passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at North Collier Hospital in Naples, FL. Barbara was born on July 19, 1950 in Danville, IL to Robert A. and Helen M (Maxey) Brennan. Barbara graduated from Schlarman Academy in Danville. After completing undergraduate work at Southern Illinois University, she earned an MBA from the University of Oklahoma. She worked in banking in Chicago, Oklahoma City and Naples. She loved horses and participated in triathlons for several years. Barbara is survived by two sisters; Susan (Robyn Meltzer) Brennan of Palm Springs, CA and Patricia (William) Westphal of Danville, IL, one brother; Thomas (Leah) Brennan of Danville, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, several aunts, uncles and cousins and a very special great-nephew. A Memorial Mass will be held at St Paul's Catholic Church, 1303 N. Walnut Street Danville, IL 61832, on July 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Father Bowan Schmitt will officiate. There will be a luncheon immediately following the Memorial Mass at the Motsett Center in Danville. Memorials may be made to Naples Therapeutic Riding Center at naplestherapeuticridingcenter.org, the Equine Advocates at equineadvocates.org, the "Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee" or to a therapy or animal rescue group of the donor's choice. Barbara's family would like to thank you all for your love and support during the past thirty-three years. She could not have done it without you all.
