Barbara Graves, 92, of Danville passed away at 3:33 AM on April 16, 2024 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL.

Barbara was born on February 8, 1932 in Danville, VA the daughter of George Harrison and Mary Ann (Amos) Doss.

She was married to Melvin Lee Starkey and later married Robert Dean Graves, both preceded her in death.

Survivors include children, Sue and Pete Blessin Hunt, Sherry and Steve Landstrom and Crystal and Ron Graves, forty grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren as well as one sister, Virginia Oaks and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husbands, Melvin Starkey and Robert Graves, her two sons, Randy and Mike Starkey as well as seven siblings.

Barbara was a member of Second Church of Christ and worked as a secretary for a local radio station and a Voorhees Lumber in Danville, she also ran a beauty shop out of her home. She enjoyed spending her free time attending church, doing Bible Studies and having debates with her sisters.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Second Church of Christ 3350 East Voorhees Street, Danville, Illinois 61834. Dr Dale DeNeal will officiate. Burial will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Spring Hill Cemetery. There will be no visitation prior to services. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, IL 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.
