Barbara E. Henderson

PLAINFEILD, IN - Barbara E. Henderson, 79, of Plainfield, IN, passed away at 5:27am EST on Tuesday, August 7th, 2007, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on May 7th, 1928, in Bismarck, IL, the daughter of Henry F. and Beatrice (Draper) Huffman, both deceased. She was married to Warren D. Henderson in Bismarck, IL, on February 17th, 1957. He preceded her in death on January 14th, 2002. She is survived by: her son, Bill Henderson of Plainfield, IN; her brothers, Charles (Delores) Huffman of Huntley, IL, Larry (Rita) Huffman of Virginia and Richard (Wanda) Huffman of Plainfield, IN; and her sisters, Harriet (Joseph) Cox of St. Louis, MO, Juanita Hudson of Danville, and Nancy Huffman of Indianapolis, IN. Her brother-in-law; Jack Hudson, preceded her in death. Barbara was an accountant that worked from home. She was a member of the Ridge Farm Quaker Church. She was also a member of the St. Anastasia #197 where she was a past Noble Grand, L.A.P.M. Indianapolis Canton #2 of which she was a past President, and a past Chief Matriarch of the Grand Jurisdictional L.E.A. of Indianapolis. Barbara and her son enjoyed attending flea-markets and enjoyed meeting and talking to people. She will be missed by all her knew her. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, August 10th, 2007, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown, IL, 61846. A visitation will be from 9am to 11am prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Ridge Farm, IL.
