Barbara Jean Davis

Barbara Jean Davis, 88, of Danville, Illinois, passed away on December 31, 2024. She was born July 11, 1936, in Danville, Illinois to the late Harry and Ruby Sales.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Twila Weathers, Grandchildren Vanessa Moody, Anthony Weathers, Seth Moody, Kyle (Emily) Weathers, Anieka (Davion) Carter, and Aniesha Walker, along with many great-grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, son Richard Moody Jr., grandchildren Richard Moody III, Angela Moody, and Joshua Moody, sisters Mary Sales and Margret Morton, and brothers John Sales, Bob Pentecost, and Gene Pentecost.

Barbara was a devoted Disney fan, with a particular love for Disney movies. She enjoyed watching John Wayne westerns and took great pleasure in her extensive doll collection. Her interests reflected her vibrant personality and love for storytelling through film and collectibles. Barbara will be remembered for her enthusiasm and passion for the things she loved.

Visitation will be held from 8:00AM – 10:00AM Monday, January 6, 2025, at Sunset Funeral Home, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, IL 61832. Funeral service at 10:00AM Monday, January 6, 2025, with Pastor David Martin officiating. Followed by burial at Oak Hill Cemetery, 16824 Shangri La Rd, Oakwood, IL 61858.
