Barbara Bullock

Danville - Barbara Bullock, 94, passed away on October 26, 2015 at Colonial Manor. She was born the daughter of Ralph J. and Faye M. (Gangwer) Biery on November 24, 1920 in Los Angeles, CA. Barbara married Richard L. Massey on December 26, 1941 in Henderson, KY. After his passing in 1972, she married Donald Volk and later married Robert Bullock. Barbara is survived by her two children Susan L. (Jim) Williamson of Danville, IL and Richard B. (Carol) Massey of Cortez, CO; grandchildren Daniel (Betsy) Williamson of Visalia, CA, Doug (Sabrina) Williamson of Greenwood, IN, and John Massey of Danville; great-grandchildren Evelyn & Annabelle Williamson of Visalia, CA and Lily & Olive Williamson of Greenwood, IN; brother Jack R. (Marianne) Biery; nieces Pat Biery and Cathy (Frank) Cofer, and nephew Phil (Cheryl) Biery. She is preceded in death by her mother & father, husband Richard L. Massey, and husband Robert Bullock. Barbara graduated from Lebanon high school and Utterback & Brown Business College. She was elected city alderman in 1987 for four years and served as chairman on the Board of Review until 1995. She worked nine years at Palmer Bank and fifteen years at U.S. Bankruptcy court before her retirement. Barbara served on the board of the Vermilion County Arthritis Foundation, volunteered at Fair Hope Charity, and was a PTA member at Edison Grade School. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the supportive staff at Colonial Manor. Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center on Sunday November 1, 2015 from 3-5pm. Funeral service will be held at 11am Monday November 2 at the funeral home followed by burial at Springhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Barbara's name to First United Methodist Church at 1400 N Vermilion St. Danville, IL 61832.
