Barbara Bann

Barbara Bann, 87, of Westville, passed away at 7:01am, Saturday, March 19, 2022, at her home. She was born on October 21, 1934, in Georgetown, IL, the daughter of George and Mabel {Felgenhauer} Dowers. Barbara is survived by her children, Earl Henderson of Westville & Steve (Patricia) Henderson of Georgetown; her nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and her siblings, Linda Harrier, Richard Dowers, & Carolyn Neild. She was preceded in death by her parents her children, Alice Wright, Debbie Henderson, & Cindy Bann-Sorrel; and her siblings, Pauline, Donald, & George. Barbara worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Vermilion County Nursing Home, retiring in 1995. She enjoyed talking to friends and family and getting together for holidays. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, and playing cards. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed. A celebration of Barbaras life will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Westville, Illinois 414 S State St. Westville, Illinois 61883 with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Wednesday prior to her service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery.
