Barbara Ann Hansborough Jackson Devore went to be with her Lord on March 14, 2024 at 10:30 p.m., ET in Mt. Pleasant, PA, surrounded by various family members.
Barbara was a devoted Christian who read her Bible each day and studied the Word of God. She was born July 6, 1933 to Alice Sands Hansborough and Claude Hansborough. She was raised by various uncles and aunts until her uncle and aunt Albert and Lucy Sands Cox took her in as their foster daughter.
She married the love of her life, William E. Jackson, on February 15, 1951, in Danville. He preceded her in death on October 26, 1980. They were the parents of three children, Vickie (Gerald) Lowe of Scottdale, PA, Connie Morrison of Georgetown, IL, and Robert (Edna) Jackson of Pittsburgh, PA.
Her grandchildren include Scott Lowe of Conway, SC, Stephen (Shelley) Lowe of Pendleton, IN, Mark (Danielle) Lowe of Pittsburgh, PA, Libby (Jon) Grogan of San Juan Capistrano, CA, Ryan (Karen) Jackson of Pittsburgh, PA, Andy Jackson of Pittsburgh, PA, Tamara Morrison of Yukon, OK, and Eric (Kristina) Morrison, Georgetown, IL.
Her great-grandchildren include Tristan (Katherine) Lowe of Spring Hill, TN, Kelton Lowe of Pendleton, IN, Kambri Lowe of Spring Hill, TN, Mckynzie Grogan of San Juan Capistrano, CA, William Jackson II, Jameson Jackson, Ellie Jackson, Brady Rotolo, Riley Rotolo, Delta Jackson, Rhys Lowe, and Ethan Lowe, all of Pittsburgh, PA, Keith Price of Yukon, OK, and Gianna Morrison of Georgetown, IL.
She has one great-great-grandson, Jensen Lowe of Spring Hill, TN.
Her sisters include Shirley Burris and Pauline Jones of Danville, IL, and Brenda Farrell of Georgetown, IL, and her brother Ron Hunt of Phoenix, AR, plus several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Jackson, her husband Otis Devore, her son-in-law Robert K. Morrison, and several sisters and brothers.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 4- 7 pm at Sunset Funeral Homes Houghton-Leasure Chapel, located at 200 E. West St. in Georgetown. A funeral service celebrating her life will take place on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 10 am at the funeral home. She will be buried in Spring Hill Cemetery next to William following the service.
