Baldur C Vaughan

Baldur Caine Vaughan passed away unexpectedly on April 3, 2024, in Gibson City, IL. Baldur was born to parents Nathaniel Vaughan and Mackenzie Jean on April 17, 2021. He was known to all his family as a loving, energetic, and courageous boy. He could lighten up the entire room with his smile alone. He loved playing outside, riding around on his four-wheeler, and any moment’s he got to spend playing with his sisters.

He was adventurous, determined, and free-spirited. He loved chicken nuggets, spending time with his grandma on the farm, riding on Pawpaw's mower, and was fascinated by trucks and transformers.  Nothing caught his attention quite like Paw Patrol, Mario, and Hot Wheels.

More than anything, his parents were the light of his entire world. In the most adorning tone, his dad would call out “boy!” and  the room would light up with his little, perfect laughter. His mother was his greatest comfort. She could not leave the room without him calling out to her and following two steps behind. The moment she snuggled up next to him on the couch he would fall asleep instantly.

Baldur is survived by his loving parents, Nathan Vaughan and Mackenzie Jean, his sisters, Paisley and Hadley Vaughan, his grandparents, Brian and Hope Sellers, Lisa Stow, Jeff Shives, and Michael Vaughan, great-grandparents, Art Stow, Ann and Don Burmeister, Dave and Ann Stradley, and Mick Vaughan, and his great-great-grandmother Nancy Stradley-DiTomaso. Baldur is predeceased by his great-grandmothers, Mary Stow and Darlis Vaughan. He is forever loved by all his aunts, uncles, and cousins.
