B. Janet Sanders Dill, 78, of Georgetown, passed away at 6:06pm, Monday, December 23, 2013, at her home. She was born on June 8, 1935, the daughter of Leland and Margaret {Davidson} Knight in Portland, OR. She was first married to John Sanders until his passing in 1982. She later married JC Dill on June 8, 1985, until his passing on May 22, 2007. Janet was a wonderful homemaker and loved caring for her family. She loved league bowling, fishing, camping, and arts & crafts. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, & cooking. Janet loved to travel and spend time with her family. She will be dearly missed by: her sons, Monty Sanders of Georgetown & Jeff Sanders of Palm Bay, FL; her daughters, JoAnn Smith of Sullivan, IN, Karen (Wayne) Atkins of Bridgeport, IL, & Kathy (Paul) Buskey of Connecticut; her grandchildren, Jason, Michelle, Jacob, Brittany, Angie, Sunshine, Adam, Andrea, Sharlene, Christopher, Ervin, Jeremy, Denise, Gina, Laurice, John, her several great grandchildren; her brother, Roland (Virginia) Knight of Horseshoe Bend, ID; and her sister, Marjorie Winshy of Hayward, CA; and her special friends, Linda (Donald) Clarey & Bobby (Donna) Dieu, both of Georgetown. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her daughter, Sharlene; her son, Scott Smith; and her brothers, Leland & Kenneth. A celebration of Janets life will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, December 26, 2013, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Chapel, Georgetown, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery. Memorials may be given in her name to American Cancer Society.
