Audrey Ross

At the age of 70 Audrey A. Ross left this life to begin her glorious hours of rest with the Lord. She was born July 27, 1937 in Danville the daughter of Frank Ernest and Bertha (Ringstrom) Laker. She married Stanley Ross in September 1956 in Chrisman. He preceded her in death on May 29, 2003. Audrey is survived by one son: Gary (Dana) Ross of Danville; one daughter: Chastity (Dave) Osborn of Danville; one sister: Carolyn Johnson of Danville; five grandchildren: Bryce, Lacey, Joe, Mayce, Cale; several nieces, nephews and special in-laws; and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son: Scott Ross, one brother: Gene Smith, and one sister: Mary Davis. Audrey worked at GE for over 23 years until its closing. Then she spent the rest of her life being a caregiver to the people that needed her. She enjoyed gardening, planting her flower garden and shopping. What she loved most though was caring for others. A tribute to the life of Audrey Ross will be held from 3 to 7 pm on Monday, February 11, 2008 at the Sunsets Community and Life Tribute Center (formerly Lakeside-Barrick Funeral Home) with friends and family being able to share memories about Audrey at 6 pm. Burial will follow at a later date at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made in Audreys name to either the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
