Danville- Audrey Maryellen Winslow, 72, of Danville passed away at 6:15 PM on Monday, December 5, 2011 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born on January 23, 1939 in Danville to Peter and Della Mae Duprey Matteucci. She is survived by a son, Lee Winslow, Jr.; three daughters, Tina Winslow of Danville, Dawn Ellen Delarosa of Waxahachie, TX; and Sally Ann VanDuyne; two sisters, Phyllis Dupree of Danville and Idalee M. (James) Woods of Danville; 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandaughter; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, and a daughter, Twila Lee Jean Winslow. Audrey worked as an adult caregiver, and was a member at Living Water Apostolic Church, past member of the Christian Church of Oakwood, and past member of the Women of the Moose. She loved to play euchre, go asparagus and mushroom hunting, camping, fishing, bicyciling, and bowling. She also enjoyed canning and jelly making and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. A memorial service for Audrey Winslow was held at 6 PM on December 6, 2011 at Living Water Apostolic Church. Pastor Randy Taylor officiated. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will take place at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery in Danville. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, or the American Diabetes Association.
