Audrey Gale Kimball, 83 of Danville, passed away on July 27, 2013 at Provena Covenant Hospital in Urbana. She was born on July 14, 1930 in Danville to William “Bert” and Effie (Johnson) Shannon in their home at Jenkins Ford. She first married Frank Miethe with whom she had two sons. Then later married the love of her life Jack Kimball on January 27, 1982. He survives. Surviving her are her husband, three sons- Steve (Vicki) Miethe, Mike (Carla) Miethe, Jack Kimball Jr. and John Paul (Jamee) Kimball, one daughter- Mary Ann (Wayne) Martin, thirteen grandchildren- Darby and Josh Miethe, Emily Makemson, Eric Sherer, Amy Escue, Kristi George, Nick and Andrew Miethe, Sheila Keller, Jill Kaluza, Ashley Kimball, Lacey and Harley Hamke, fourteen great grandchildren- Mackenzie, Karsin and River Miethe, Tenley Makemson, Kylie and Evan Sherer, Leighton Miethe, Parker Escue, Caden and Cooper George, Connor and Audrey Kaluza, Andrea, Harden and Owen Kimball. Gail was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers-Charles, William and Cecil Shannon and two sons- Mark and Glen Kimball. She graduated from Westville High School. She worked at Henry Bireline Company for over 40 years before retiring in 1993. She was a past president of the Women in Construction and was W.I.C. of the year in 1995-1996. Gail enjoyed mostly having family gatherings at (Old Bristol Ridge) her home. Spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and attending school functions and sporting events for her family. She will be greatly missed by all. A Celebration of Gails Life will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville with Matt Harmless officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.
