Arthur L. Rucker Jr., 82, of Danville, died at 4:50 am on Sunday, December 18, 2005 at North Logan Health Care in Danville. He was born February 14, 1923 in Westville, IL the son of Arthur Sr. and Marie Ellen (Bernard) Rucker. He married Carmen Osborne on August 29, 1975 in Danville, IL. She survives. Arthur is also survived by two Daughters: Jeanne (Bill) Ritter of Danville, Judy (Larry) Sucharski of Wind Lake, WI; two sons: Warren Osborne of Oakwood, John (Sue) Osborne of Oakwood; two brothers: Jack (Shirley) Rucker of Prescott Valley, AZ, Robert (Margaret) Rucker of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Seven grandchildren: Julie (Steve) Parrish, Brenda (Kelly) Campbell, Larry (Marilyn) Brinkley, Amy (Bob) Gullifer, Keith Osborne, Stacy (Jeff) Greathouse, Stephen (Tysha) Osborne; Sixteen great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Mildred Diedrich. Arthur served in the United States Army during WWII in the European Theater. He owned and operated Ruckers Auto Body for 46 years until retiring to Florida in 1989. He was 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Anchor Lodge # 980, Danville Consistory AASR, Ansar Shrine AAONMS of Springfield, IL, a Gao Gratto since 1962, life time member of the Elks Lodge #332, and American Legion Post #210. Arthur was a big Nascar fan and loved his dog Corky the Yorkie.
