Cayuga, Ind. -- Arthur "Art" L. Craft, 66, of Cayuga, passed away at 10 a.m. EST Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at his residence in Cayuga. He was born December 8, 1944 in Dana, Indiana, the son of the late Marley M. and Jessie Martin Craft. He married Annie Ruth Cox on January 31, 1964 in Montgomery, Alabama. She survives. Other survivors include his children, Bryan(Kathy)Craft of Cayuga, Indiana; Dee Riggen of Perrysville, Indiana; Rowdy Craft of Cayuga, Indiana; Lanea(Tony)Morson of Newport, Indiana and Vanda(Mike)Binnette of Glencoe, Missouri; eleven grandchildren, Timmy and Aaron Riggen, Tyler Craft, Jase Crain, Davin Craft, Vaughn DePugh, Marlee Craft, Nick Binnette, Meredith Binnette, Dimitri Morson and Devin Morson; one great grandson, Eden Morson; four sisters, Maxine Roberts of Fontana, California; Alice Ripple of Terre Haute, Indiana; Jane(Ross)Andrews and Beulah Wilkerson both of Cayuga, Indiana; one brother, Marvin Craft of Kingman, Indiana. He was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Williamson and one brother, Leonard Craft. Art retired from Schomburg & Schomburg in 2005. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Art's memberships include the Cayuga American Legion Post #263 and the Carpenters Local #269 in Danville, Illinois. He was a 1962 graduate of Newport High School. Art enjoyed boating on the Wabash River, having coffee everyday at Willy's, driving his polaris ranger to Newport, Indiana University Basketball, Alabama Football, Chicago Cubs Baseball, Chicago Bears Football, NASCAR and watching his favorite driver Tony Stewart. Most of all Art enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Funeral services: 1 p.m. EST Saturday, November 12, 2011 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Dr. Andy Spencer; Burial: Eugene Cemetery in Eugene, Indiana with military rites by the Cayuga American Legion Post #263; Visitation: 11 a.m. EST Saturday, November 12, 2011 until time of services at the funeral home.
