Arnold Arnie Carlson of Veedersburg, IN was called home to his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 16, 2022. He was born on August 29, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Eskal and Edith Carlson. Arnie graduated from Chicago Vocational High School and attended Wilson Junior College. Afterwards, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He remained in the Air Force for four years and was stationed in Europe, Texas, and Illinois. He was honorably discharged as an Airman 2nd Class. After his service, he was employed by various bottling and manufacturing companies as a project manager and field service engineer until his retirement. Arnie enjoyed riding his motorcycle and cruising with fellow members of the Christian Motorcyclists Association. When he wasnt exploring the Midwest in his motorhome, he could be found on Sundays at his church as a vocal soloist. He was an avid welder and used his mechanical and welding skills restoring farm tractors and jeeps in his retirement. He is survived by his wife Sandra Carlson. In addition to being a loving husband, he had the honor of being a son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather, and friend. After a military ceremony, he will be laid to rest at the Danville National Cemetery in Danville, IL, in a private family service. His arrangements were entrusted in Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Covington, Indiana 420 3rd St. Covington, Indiana 47932.
