A memorial service for Arnetta Chambers-McClain, 67 of Champaign is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall, Meadow Brook and Woodland Park Congregation, 1407 Scovill Street, Urbana, IL 61801; Elder Malcolm Green officiating. Mrs. Chambers-McClain died at 9:10 p.m., Friday, October 18, 2013 at Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana. Arnetta was born on June 22, 1946 to the late L.B. and Catherine Chambers. She was a 1966 graduate of Urbana High School. She enjoyed cooking, reading, singing, traveling, decorating, watching westerns, planning events, and spending time with friends and family. Arnetta was best known for her infectious smile, and her warm and giving nurturing nature. She was also very dedicated to her faith where she studied with the local Kingdom Hall committing her life as a Jehovah witness. She was formerly employed by Magnavox, Central Cab Company, and AC Humko. She is survived by her husband Willie McClain; a brother, Michael Chambers (Sandra) of Champaign; a sister, Carla Chambers of Urbana; a son, Andre Chambers (Samantha) of Charlotte, NC; two daughters, Kenyatta Chambers of Rantoul, and Felicia Powell-Eberhart (Allen) of St. Louis, MO; and two aunts, Margaret Williams of Rantoul, and Christine Donald of Chicago. She also leaves to cherish her memory five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Harry, William, and Gary Chambers; and a sister, Frances Davis. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center Champaign-Urbana Chapel, 710 N.
