Arlene Joyce Hibler, 61, of Chesapeake, VA formerly of Danville passed away Saturday, September 23, 2006 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Danville, IL she was the daughter of the late Russell and Pauline Cox. She was a graduate of the University of Illinois with a Masters in Health Services Administration from St. Francis University. She and her family moved to Chesapeake in 1989 where she was the Director of Womens Services at Chesapeake General Hospital and later worked in Nursing Management at the Childrens Hospital of the Kings Daughters. She was also and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She finished her career as a Clinical Supervisor in the Dare County Health Department in the outer banks of NC. She is survived by a loving husband of 38 years, Herbert A. Hibler of Chesapeake; four children, Michele Hibler, Grant Hibler and wife Joelle, Tracy Hibler-Aikin and husband Brad, Matthew Hibler and fianc(c) Stephanie Kirk; a brother W. Dean Cox and wife Christine; a niece Connie Wade and husband Brian; a nephew, Marvin Cox and wife Debbie; a great niece, Jennifer Cox and a great nephew, Billy Wade. Graveside services will be held 10:00am Saturday, September 30, 2006 at Springhill Cemetery. Officiating Pastor Raymie Gordon.
