Aritta G. Cormaney Shaw 83 of Danville passed away at 4:30 a.m. Saturday August 25, 2007 at her home. She was born October 17, 1923 in Conran, MO the daughter of Jeremiah and Mattie Wilson DeWitt. She had married George Cormaney on July 20, 1945 in Parsons, Kansas she later married Earl Shaw on August 12, 1976 in Danville they both preceded her in death. Surviving; one son William Arthur Cormaney II of Danville and one daughter; Deloris Ellen Cormaney of Danville, one granddaughter; Dana C. Cormaney and a great-granddaughter Lorelei Mallen both of Florida, also several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two Brothers Jack and Jeremiah and four sisters Mary, Virginia, Janet and Gladys. Aritta retired from Bud Electronic Supply Company in 1973, she was a devoted wife and mother. She loved gardening, cooking, antique collecting, sewing and fishing, also rock collecting and lapidary art. She was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church, Eastern Star and the Moose Lodge. A celebration of life graveside service for Aritta will be 3:00 pm Tuesday September 4, at Sunset Memorial Park. Officiating will be Pastor Kevin Cox.
