Cayuga, Ind. - Ardoth Kay Norman, 78, of rural Cayuga, passed away at 2:12 p.m. EST Friday, February 25, 2022 at her residence.
She was born on March 27, 1943 in Cayuga, Indiana the daughter of the late James A. and Marjorie Maxine (Jordan) Norman.
Kay married Charles D. Finley on July 26, 1995 in Phoenix, Arizona. He survives.
Other survivors include her children: Kelly Turner of Cayuga, Indiana and Kobie (Tammy Butler) Nelson of San Antonio, Texas; step-daughter: Tristin (Michael) Bruno of Wisconsin; two grandchildren: Jonathan Nelson and Josy Turner, and three sisters: Shari (Kenny) High and Patsy (Jim) McLain both of Cayuga, Indiana and Sally (Rick) Hill of Newport, Indiana.
Kay retired in 2001 from the Human Resource Department with the Department of Defense in Phoenix, Arizona. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 723 in Hollydale, California (50+ years) and the Downey, California V.F.W. Auxiliary #2325. Kay enjoyed taking care of her home, cooking, traveling and raising her grandson, Jonathan.
There will be no services. Per Kay's request cremation was accorded. A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date. Contributions may be made in Kay's memory to the Cayuga American Legion Post 263, 904 West Ferry Street, Cayuga, Indiana 47928. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is assisting the family with arrangements.
