Arden Kilgore

Cayuga, Ind. - Arden Kilgore, 87, of Cayuga, passed away at 7:20 a.m. EDT Sunday, August 4, 2019 at his residence.

He was born May 10, 1932 in Cayuga, Indiana the son of the late Carl and Amelia (Snyder) Kilgore.

Arden married Wanda Lee Snodgrass on November 15, 1955 in Bloomingdale, Indiana. She preceded him in death on July 26, 1994.

Survivors include two sons: Ardie (Kathy) Kilgore of Cayuga, Indiana and Marty Kilgore of Orlando, Florida; three grandchildren: Aaron (Ali) Francis; Brooke (Brian) Lewis and Tori Kilgore; six great grandchildren: Isabelle Lewis; Drew Lewis; Marvel Francis; Piper Francis; Henry Francis and Lucy Astell, and special friend and caretaker: Susie Roach of Cayuga, Indiana.

Arden was preceded in death by his daughter: Vicki Francis; two brothers: John and Bill Kilgore and one infant sister.

Arden retired from General Motors in Tilton, Illinois in 1983. He later worked with his son, Ardie at Kilgore Construction. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the United States Army. Arden was a member of the Cayuga Presbyterian Church and a 1950 graduate of Cayuga High School. He enjoyed all sports and was North Vermillion High Schools biggest fan. Most of all Arden enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
