Arden Julian

Arden Roy (A.J.) Julian, 65, of Danville, passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 1:29 am at St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, IL. He was born January 24, 1941 in Jefferson Twp., Hillsdale Co., Michigan to Elmer and Geraldine (Harmon) Julian. He married is high school sweetheart, Joanne Murphy on September 2, 1960 in Osseo, Michigan. She survives. Arden is also survived by his four children: Allen Julian of Danville, Aaron (Dina) Julian of Danville, Austin (Jenny) Julian of Paint Lick, Kentucky and Julie (Reaine) Wilson of Brownstown, IL. He is also by his ten grandchildren: Alexis, Alyssa, Garrett, Victoria, Madeline, Lucas, Audrey, Anna, Camilla, and Amelia. Also surviving are his two brothers: Terry (Kathy) Julian of Concord, Michigan and Ross (Dona) Julian of St. Joseph, Michigan; two sisters: Alice (Max) Walton of Jackson, Michigan, Sharon (Bill) Carver of Clarksville, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews. Arden was preceded in death by his mother, his brother Donald and granddaughter Lluvia Wilson. He graduated form Pittsford High School in 1959 and went on to Tri State College in Angola, Indiana where he majored in Chemical Engineering. He was currently employed as a sales representative by Illinois Oil Marketing Equipment in Pekin, IL. Arden was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in many leadership and teaching positions, including bishop of the Danville Ward from 1995-1999. He especially enjoyed working with the youth. He enjoyed many outdoor and recreational activities including golf and softball. He has served several years as the president of the Interdenominational Church Softball League where he spent many hours making sure it ran smoothly. Arden loved his family very much, always being there for them. His love of life and his sense of humor always made family gatherings a delight. He will be best remembered by his willingness to serve those in need, his quick wit and fun loving nature. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
