Antonio Domingo Alvarez, 21, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018. He was born on February 04, 1997 the son of Joel Alvarez and Kelly (Haton) Alvarez. They survive. Also surviving Antonio include his son, Canelo Alvarez; Canelo's mother, Analyh Zarate; one brother, Dacian Alvarez; two sisters, Ysenia Alvarez and Mia Alvarez; paternal grandparents, Joel Alvarez and Lita Trimble; maternal grandparents, Robert and Sue Haton; uncles, Marcos (Nicole) Perez, Chad (Mandy) Alvarez, Robert Jolley, Venancio (Amii) Perez, Juan (Brandi) Robinson, Robert "Bobby" Haton, and Michael (Missy) Haton; aunts, Jill (Bobby Scaggs) Perez and Deanna Robinson; and special friends, Robert Morgan, Ty Escobedo, and many many more. Antonio loved listening to music, playing and watching sports, and he especially loved spending time with his son. He started wrestling when he was 5 years old and continued to do so all his life. He was a multistate qualifier while wrestling for Oakwood High School. He also started playing baseball at a young age. He did travel baseball, played for the American legion, and played high school baseball for Oakwood. Antonio was a loyal fan of the Chicago Cubs and Dallas Cowboys. He was a wonderful son, brother, father, and friend. He will be missed dearly. A Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Officiating will be Pastor Rob Ketcherside. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 3 to 6 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations to be made to them for baby Canelo's college fund.
