Anton Jack 'Aj' Wallace

WESTVILLE - Anton Jack A.J. Wallace, 89, of Westville, passed away at home at 6:40am, Friday, February 22nd, 2008. He was born on June 12, 1918, in Painesdale, IL, to Leonard and Rose (Stimac) Wallace, both deceased. He was united in marriage to Frances Kovack on May 6th, 1944, in Georgetown, IL. She will miss him dearly. Others who will miss him include: his children, Sharon (Jim) Hart of Clovis, NM, Jackie Wallace of Danville, Pamela Dalbey of Westville, & Tina (Mark) Cravens of Georgetown; his nine grandchildren, Nicole (Richard) Hahn of Clovis, NM, Jason (Kari) Tate of Albuquerque, NM, Jennie Len Wallace of Bismarck, Justin Michael (Kelly) Wallace of Alvin, IL, Jodi Steinwand, Tony (Tanisha) Cravens of Georgetown, Lexi (Kenneth) Nichols of Colorado Springs, CO, Alison Cravens of Georgetown, & Andy Cravens of Georgetown; his twelve great grandchildren, Ethan, Dalton, Abigail, Dane, Reese, Mason, Hailee, Addison, Michael, Kaylee, Hadley, & Lincoln Anthony; his brother, Leonard (Eileen) Wallace of Indianapolis, IN; and his sister, Rose (Pete) Jenkins of Georgetown. He was preceded in death by: his brother, John Wallace; and his four sisters, Sophie, Ann, Margaret, & Maryann. AJ worked in the printing business for Interstate Printing for over 40 years until he retired in 1980. He was a member of St. Isaac Jogues Parrish in Georgetown. He really enjoyed playing cards and chewing tobacco. He loved listening to bands and going dancing. He enjoyed mowing & gardening. He cherished his grandchildren. A celebration of AJs life will be 10:00am, Monday, February 25th, 2008, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown. Father John Paninski and Joe Humrichous will officiate. Visitation will be held 2p-6p, Sunday, February 24th, 2008, at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Forest Park Cemetery, Georgetown.
