Anthony F. Fred Seripinas Jr 70 of Westville passed away at 12:30 a.m. Saturday August 16, 2008 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born October 8, 1937 in Westville the son of Anthony Harrisburg Serpinas and Anna Bubbles Karpolis. He married Wanda Spencer on August 22, 1970 in Westville, she survives also four daughters; Antoinette Tru (David Williams) Seripinas of Westville, Debbie (Brad) Adams of Westville, Tammy (Steve) Howe of Lewisburg, TN, Rachel (Don) Maxfield of Rileysburg, IN, his grandchildren; Brandy (Jason) Hinds, Crystal Howe, Justin Adams, Christopher Hughes, Jackie Hughes and Ryleigh Johnson, two great-grandchildren; Jaylen Smith and Jacy Hinds, a brother Mike Serpinas of South Carolina, one sister; Beverly Williams of Lakeland, FL, his uncle Bill Serpinas of Westville, Special Nephews; Jonathon (Debbie) Seripinas, Glenn Seripinas, Tony (Shelly) Seripinas and Caleb Seripinas, special niece; Vincie seripinas, also many nieces and nephews and special friends; Ronnie Lomax and Dixie, Keith and Sharon Walker. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Antonette Toni Driver. Fred was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps from 1957 to 1963. He was a 32 Degree Mason with Anchor Lodge # 980 and Ansar Shrine also a member of the American Legion post 51 of Westville also a member of the G.A.O Grotto. Fred had worked at G.E. in Danville and later owned and operated Freddies Tipple Tavern in Westville and also worked as a Coal Miner with the Ziegler coal mine and retired from Old Ben Coal Mine in Marion, IL. Fred enjoyed talking with everybody he never met a stranger, most of all he enjoyed fishing in Canada and Alaska with friends. He was a sports fan and avid Chicago Bears fan, he loved spending time with his granddaughter Ryleigh. A celebration of life Funeral service for Fred Seripinas will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday August 19, 2008 at Sunsets Urbas Chapel of Westville. Officiating will be Rev. Don Morgan. A Masonic service will be held at 4:30 P.M. Monday by Anchor Lodge # 980 and is open to the public Burial will be in Lithuanian National Cemetery in Westville. Visitation for Family and friends will be 4-8 P.M. Monday August 18, 2008 at the funeral home.
